Sharad Navratri 2026 (शारदीय नवरात्रि)
Nine Nights of the Goddess
🪔 Puja Muhurat
| Occasion | Time (IST) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Ghatasthapana Muhurat (Abhijit) | 11:44 am – 12:31 pm | Abhijit Muhurat (the 8th of the day's own 15 muhurtas, centred on local solar noon) — the classical fallback window for Kalash Sthapana when the earlier, longer morning (Pratahkal) window is missed. That fuller Pratahkal window — and its own Chitra Nakshatra/Vaidhriti Yoga exclusions — is not computed here; only this later Abhijit alternative is shown. Within this window, the best time to use is 11:44 AM – 12:08 PM (Excellent · Abhijit). |
About Sharad Navratri
Sharad Navratri is the most widely observed of the year's four Navratris, spanning nine nights of worship of Goddess Durga in her nine forms (Navadurga), beginning on Ashwin Shukla Pratipada. The festival opens with Ghatasthapana (Kalash Sthapana), invoking the goddess's presence, and culminates in Durga Ashtami/Navami (Sandhi Puja) and Dussehra/Vijayadashami, celebrating the goddess's victory over evil.
